PARALLELOGRAM

  • Quadrilaterals with both pairs opposite sides parallel
  • Diagonals bisect eachother
  • Consecutive angles supplementary
  • Opposite angles are congruent & Opposite sides are congruent

AREA FORMULA FOR PARALLELOGRAM

A=BH

RECTANGLE

  • Parallelogram with 4 equal angles are 90 degrees
  • Diagonals bisect and are congruent
  • Opposite sides are parallel and congruent

AREA FORMULA FOR RECTANGLE

A=BH

SQUARE

  • Rectangle with equal sides
  • Rhombus with 90 degrees diagnals bisect at a right angle
  • Rhombus bisect at a right angle or 90 degrees

AREA FORMULA FOR SQUARES

A=S^2

TRAPEZOID

  • Quadrilateral with 1 pair of parallel sides
  • Bases and legs are congruent
  • Lower base and upper base angles are congruent
  • Diagnals are congruent

AREA FORMULA FOR TRAPEZOID

A=SIDE+SIDE (TOP AND BOTTOM)DIVIDED BY 2 TIMES HEIGHT

KITE

  • Quadrilateral with 2 sets of congruent sides
  • Diagonals intersect at right angles
  • No parallel sides
  • One pair of opposite angles are congruent

AREA FORMULA FOR KITES

A=1/2(D1XD2)
