Quadratic functions

Quadratic functions is when the variables are a, b and c aren't equal to zero

parabola

A parabola is the arc that is created on the graph when points are connected.

axis of symmetry

The axis of symmetry is the dotted line that divides the parabola in two

quadratic equations

A quadratic equation is any equation in which "x" replaces an unknown number.

standard from of quadrtic

ax^2+bx+c=0

vertex form of quadratic

y=a(x-h)^2+k

zero product propery

the zero product property say that if a times b = 0 then a or b or both = 0

zero of functions

zero of functions states that on a graph x with equal 0

factoring

factoring is use to find the factors of a number, numbers that times together to make up that number.

difference of sqaure

the factor that two numbers have in common.

perfect square trinomial

squaring a binomials creates a perfect square trinomial

quadratic formula

the quadratic formula is used when you cant find the factors of a number

discriminant

the number of solutions

imaginary number

the square root of 1

complex number
