• They mostly lived in the north where there was no slavery
• They helped make this country slavery-free
• Harriet Tubman was a formal slave, then an abolitionist.

ITS DEBATABLE IF THE RISE OF INDUSTRY WAS GOOD OR NOT.

• At the beginning, it was all good, shipping goods faster,
• Then competition got competitive and things were starting to go down hill.
