• Latin phrase is "multum in parvo"[a lot of dog in a small space]
• expressions include: surprise, happiness, curiosity, and sorrow

Pug History/Origin

• Oriental Origin-China earliest place pugs were bred (before 400 BC)
• pet of Buddhist monasteries in Tibet and royalty in Japan and Europe
• Josephine (wife of Napoleon) and Queen Victoria had pugs
• Pugs are similar to the Pekingese breed
• both were brought to England in 1860

Pug Conclusion

• Pugs are known as the oldest dog breed
• They are usually not great swimmers
• Pugs sleep an average of 14 hours each day
