PURPOSE
I wanted to see if people remember better by seeing or by hearing.
I hypothesized that if people took a visual test and an auditory test, then more people would
do better on the visual test.
I also hypothesized that girls would do better on the visual test and boys would do better on the auditory test.

MATERIALS

PROCEDURE
I tested thirty teenagers ranging from ages 13-18.
Fifteen girls and fifteen boys.
They each took a visual test and an auditory test.
They had thirty seconds for the visual test.
For the auditory test I read the numbers to them three times slowly.

RESULTS
More people scored higher on the visual test than on the auditory test.
Girls scored higher than boys in visual and boys scored higher than girls in auditory.
Visual: Girls scored an average of 92 and boys scored an average of 88.
Auditory: Girls scored an average of 62 and boys scored an average of 71.3
Overall: People scored an average of 90 on the visual and 66.7 for auditory.
