I choose this carrer because I like helping people and I am good at building/designing mechanical things.

Prosthetist

  • Prosthetist design, Build, and fit fake limbs
  • you can major in Prosthetist/Orthotist in some colleges around the country.
  • Most Prosthetist are employed by hospitals, and/or assisted living centers, some also are a self-employer.
  • There are no training needs but it is recommended that you take engineering classes and take Algebra 2/Trigonometry in high school.

What do they do?

  • A Prosthetist designs, builds, and fits fake limbs.
  • It is recommended to take as many math/science classes as possible.
  • A bachelor's degree is the bare essential. You can go back and get your masters degree after the bachelor's degree
