• She was born in her grandmothers house with the help of a midwife
• Oprah mother Vernita Lee, was eighteen and unmarried
• She wasn't in a serious relationship with Oprah's father

• Is currently North Americas only black billionaire.

Oprah Winfrey has donated millions of dollars to many different charities as well as organizations.

According to some, Oprah is the most influential women in the world.

• She landed  a job in radio  whie still in highschool and began coanchoring
• the local evening news at the age of 19. She was eventually transfered to 
• the daytime talk show, and put the Chicago Talk Show to 1st, After that she
• launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.

Jeremiah/Old Testament Prophet

Jeremiah Info.

• Lived in the final days of the crumbling nation of Israel 
• Was appropriately the last prophet God sent to preach to the South Kingdom
• This kingdom comprised the tribes of Judah and Benjamin
• The people of Israel wouldn't listen to God when he warned them to stop 
• their ignorent behavior. 

Jeremiahs Job

• God had tore the 12 tribes apart
• Sending the 10 Northern Tribes into the hands of the Assyrians
• God then sent Jeremiah to give Judah the last warning before he can send 
• them out of the land. Jermiah was called to tell Israel that becaus of 
• their constant sin, their God had turned against them.

Jeremiah was only 17 when God called him. He is known as the "weeping" Prophet because because he cried tears of sadness, not only because he knew what was about to happen, but because no matter how hard he tried, the people would not listen.

• Israel did no longer believe in God, because they had sinned so badly
• Jeremiah Preached for 40 years and didn't and didn't see not once any success
• in changing or softening the hearts and minds of the bad people.
• He tried to make the people understand that their problem was a lack of
• belief, trust, and faith in God.

Jeremiahs purpose was to put a stop from the peoples sinning, and to get them to believe and have faith in God

Oprah Winfrey and Jeremiah Compare to each other

Oprah: Oprah Winfrey is a modern day prophet who helped many people in her lifetime. Oprah Winfrey as a modern day prophet can be compared to Jeremiah who is an Old Testament prophet. Oprah Winfrey and Jeremiah can be compared to each other because Oprah Winfrey did good things for people and tried to do the best, for example she has donated millions of dollars to many different charities as well as organizations.

Jeremiah: Jeremiah also did good things because tried to make the people of Israel understand their problem was a lack of belief, trust, and faith in God, along with an absence of fear which caused them to take him for granted. Jeremiah was trying to save the people of Israel by getting them to believe in God, and to have faith in what they believe in. The people of Israel had too much pride and Jeremiah was trying to stop them from sinning so much. Oprah and Jeremiah just wanted to have peace and a relationship with God.
