  • Form of motion
  • A projectile is thrown near earths surface
  • Moves in a curved path because of gravity

GRAVITY

  • The only force that is of significance
  • acts as a downward pull
  • Causes downward acceleration of projectile

EXAMPLE

  • Bow and arrow
  • Pull the string back
  • Release string to make arrow shoot

BOW AND ARROW

  • The arrow will shoot straight out
  • Gravity pulls it down
  • Causes it to fall at an angle
