Where is kavido?
- Kavido is a locality in Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, a commune in the Anse-à-Veau Arrondissement, in the Nippes department of Haiti.
What happened There?
- On 14 August 2021 the area was the epicenter of a magnitude 7.2 earthquake.
What is the Population?
- Recent Surveys showed that Petit-Trou-de-Nippes has a population of over 36,000 inhabitants.
- Kavido accounts for about 30% of the population.
What is Project Rescue Kavido?
- Help to the families in Kavido Petit-Trou-de-Nippes in the aftermath of the earthquake.
What are the damages?
- Properties have been destroyed and countless lives have been lost as the earthquake provoked a massive Rockslide from the surrounding mountains.

Who is in charge of this Project?
- Rome & Christie moved to the U.S almost 15 years ago. Now married for 12 years they have always wanted to give back to their motherland.
Who knows these people?
- Christie Metellus burst into my heart 6 years ago when she announced in our communication class to me the instructor that she could not possibly give a public presentation: way too shy. She is now an award-winning speaker, and founder of 3Dbites (best Haitian sauces this side of Haiti), with a heart the size of an ocean. Her family is my family. The 7.2 earthquake in Haiti has devastated the island, with death toll nearing 2000 and rising. Christie and her husband have lost many friends in this. They are heading to Haiti to help any way they can. I want to help her help. For my upcoming birthday, I ask you, please help me help her help Haiti.
