• The second planet
• The second brightest thing in the sky at night

• Is the third planet
• Is the only planets that contains life

MARS

• The fourth planet
• Named after the Roman god of war, and often described as the “Red Planet” due to its reddish appearance

JUPITER

• The fifth planet from the sun
• Is the largest planet

SATURN

• The sixth planet
• Second largest planet

URANUS

• The seventh planet
• Is tilted on its side

NEPTUNE

• Is the eighth planet
• Has a very dense atmosphere

STARS

SUN

• First the sun was a ball of gas and dust
• Then gravity pulled it all together
• As it gets hotter the hydrogen turns into helium

OUTSIDE THE GALAXY

Astroids, stars, comets, black hole, meteoroids, and solar nebulas are all things outside of the galaxy
