Where to Teach

  • I would like my students to have option where they work
  • I would like to represent my students throughout the classroom
  • I would like to display my classroom management/procedures for the students

What to teach

  • I will teach to the standards of the State of Texas
  • I will teach to the whole child
  • I will keep a record of all their work and performance
  • I will have on-going testing as well as traditional testing

Example of Assessment

  • Exit Ticket: It's an informal way to see if the student understand concept
  • The student will answer the question and it will guide future teaching
  • This will happen throughout the unit

  • Self-grading: The student will go through and reflect why their work was correct or incorrect
  • This will happen throughout the unit

  • Think-Pair-Share: This gives the student a chance non-traditionally to talk out what they know about a topic
  • They are given a chance to think, then they talk about it with a partner
  • This will happen throughout the unit
