Expected salary:
The expected salary for a symphony orchestra/musician starts at a little over $150,000 per year. Sometimes salaries can averages a little over 4,000 per year. Another possible salary is $36,000 Or from $15,000-$275,000+/ and over.
A Conductor leads an orchestra/symphony, opera, or any other musical groups through visible gestures, setting the tempo for the group’s music and sound. Conductors can also be a Music Director for the group, although sometimes these are different positions. (In the capacity of Music Director, he/she will chose the music for the performance.) The Conductor will then study the musical scores to choose how it should best be shown/chose.
People all over the world have been putting instruments together in different ways for as long as people have been alive, for which could be millions of years. Though it wasn't until about the past 400 years that musicians started to form into giant groups that turned into the modern orchestra. In the olden days, when musicians got together to play their music, they had used whatever instruments were around in the time period they were in. If there were two lute players, seven harps, and four flutes, then that's what they had to and did used. By the 1500s, the time known as the Renaissance, the word "consort" was used to mean a group of people who played instruments and sometimes they can be singers too, making music together in a concert.
I found that there are a bunch of different companies and bands for symphony musicians/the band, a few of them are, the Chicago symphony orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra, the Cleveland orchestra, and many other orchestras.
