What's the problem with processed food?

Processed foods aren't necessarily unhealthy, but anything that’s been processed may contain added salt, sugar and fat.

Do we know that we're eating processed food?

Well manufacturers are in competition with each other, so they will do anything to get their consumers to buy there product. They are trying to make there food desirable as possible.

Some cereal's do not contain whole grain.

GMO’s in our food supply are causing increased allergies, digestive problems, liver problems, and much more. Unfortunately, breakfast cereals are loaded with GMO ingredients.

Do processed food cause obesity?

Most nutrition experts agree
that no one type of food
causes obesity .Obesity
initiates from eating more calories than the body uses. So the body stores the calories,until needed, so then the body puts on excess weight.

Are processed foods safe?

Canning and freezing foods
such as meats, fruits and vegetables helps them to stay fresher longer. For example heating foods helps remove harmful bacteria.

Are processed foods expensive?

For example buying frozen blueberries might be less expensive then buying fresh blueberries that are in season.

Can we make processed foods healthy for us

Yes. By using less of processed foods, and keeping it in proportion.

what are minimally processed foods?

Foods that require little processing or production are called, "Minimally processed".Washed and packaged fruits and vegetables; bagged
salads; roasted and ground nuts and coffee beans
