2.
WHAT IS PROBABILITY?
Scott Wurzel
3.
Probability is how likely something will happen. Say you are flipping a coin. The probability it will land on heads or tales in 50%.

4.
HOW DO WE DETERMINE
THE LIKELIHOOD OF A EVENT?
5.
TO DETERMINE...
Divide the number of ways a event can happen-
By the total number of outcomes to get your answer.
Ex. John is Drawing out of a bag with 5 different colored-
tiles. He wants to draw one of the two red ones. What is-
6.
EXAMPLE
The Probability he will draw a red tile?
1. Set up Problem.
2➗5
2. Solve.
2➗5= 0.40
7.
EXAMPLE
3. Change into percent.
0.40= 40%
Final Answer- the probability of drawing
a red tile is 40%!

WHAT IS A COMPLEMENT?

9.
A complement is all the ways a event cannot happen.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL PROBABILITY?
VinothChandar
11.
THEORETICAL PROBABILITY
Theoretical Probability is calcuated using math
Formulas.
It is based on the math theory.
12.
EXPERIMENTAL PROBABILITY
Experimental probability is calculated when
the actual problem is performed as a experiment.
You use the results to determine the probability.

14.
What is the chance Sally will roll a six in a dice?
15.
1➗6 is about .167.
If we covert that to a percent we get 16.7%!
The chance of rolling a six on a dice is 16.7 percent!
