PRESENTATION OUTLINE
MY PRESENTATION OF THE MOON
It’s near, but far
The moon is only 380,000 km from earth. That’s four hundred times closer than the sun. Travelling to the moon would feel like taking 200 trips to Australia.
It’s big, but small
The moons diameter is 3,476 km. That’s over twice the length of NZ, but in reality the moon is about four million times smaller than the sun.
The invisible force of gravity, on the moon if you drop something it won’t fall to the ground like it would on earth. That’s because the moons gravity is not very strong , but earths gravity is the strongest gravity in the universe
It has no air, the moon has no air, so there’s no wind on the moon. If you made a footprint on the moon it would last for millions of years.
It’s leaving us, the moon is moving away from earth by about 4 cm a year. As it leaves us, the moon will appear smaller. In a few billion years, it will look like just another bright star in the sky. So enjoy it while you can!!
