PREJUDICE

  • Dictionary:
  • preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience
  • My words:
  • A person making judgment on something or someone without knowing that
  • person or without knowing about that topic.

EXAMPLES

  • After blacks were freed from being slaves every one else was
  • skeptical of blacks. There were certain restaurants they could go to,
  • certain drinking fountains, different bathrooms, and different schools.

EXAMPLES

  • Around the 1950s the baby boomer era women were viewed as
  • baby makers and that's it. Women were raised to be housewives men
  • didn't want the women to get jobs because it's a mans job to provide.
  • In later years society thought women weren't smart enough to become scientist
  • because women were raised to cook, clean, and make babies.

EXAMPLES

  • In the world today the property rate is at 7.1% in the United States most
  • of that population of people are blacks. Lots of employers don't hire
  • blacks because they believe all blacks are criminals so that's part of the
  • reason why so many black people are unemployed.
