Prejeduce Racism and stereotypes

No Description

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Racism

  • A belief that inherent difference between human beings can cause one group to usurp the other and claim superiority through segregation
  • Intolerance towards another race
  • Example here: straight people are saying gay people are so bad now that they wished to literally cleanse the world of that way of life

Stereotype

  • An overly used form of describing a specific type of person. Commonly becomes generalized after too much use.
  • Example here: This photo depicts the far too common stereotypes envisioned when thinking about Man-Woman.

Prejudice

  • An opinion given beforehand that could either be secretly offensive towards that person or verbal. Hostile attitude towards religious group racial etc.
  • Example here: These children seem to be getting water from a fountain, what a prejudice person could assume and then use is that these children were poor showing a pre determined hostile attitude to someone you've never even met before
  • Another scenario could be a positive opposite of that.
