ADJECTIVES

• A word that describes a noun.
• Ex. Big, Small, Blue, Pink, Green
• That house is big.
• It is also blue.

ADVERBS

• Words that describes verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.
• Ex. Quickly, Slowly, Angrily, Happily, Excitedly
• He runs quickly.
• She talks excitedly.

INTERJECTION

• Words that show emotion.
• Ex. Wow, Aha, Gosh, Well, Yes
• Wow! That's amazing!
• No way, me too!

CONJUNCTION

• Joins two words or sentences together.
• Ex. And, Or, However, If, So
• John and Johnny are friends.
• Do you want cake or ice cream?

PREPOSITION

• A word that shows relation of one word to another.
• Ex. Aboard, inside, in, into, off
• Go inside the house now.
• Come on.

PRONOUNS

• Takes the place of another noun.
