Pop music originated in Britain in the mid 1950’s.

The people who influenced pop music the most are Michael Jackson, ABBA and the Beatles .

The typical instruments in pop music are...
voice, guitars, pianos, drums, cymbals, electric organ, electronic keyboard, electric piano and sometime base.
Characteristics of pop music
There is usually 2-4 verses with a bridge and always has a Chorus that is repeated at least twice.
Other characteristics
What they wear: fancy clothes, sparkly, colourful.
How the move on stage: they walk around and interact with the crowd
HOW THEY PRESENT THERE LIVE PERFORMANCES:
they start with a bang or a sizzling start to make the crowd really interested and excited.
LYRICAL CONTENT:
They usually write their songs about break ups , and sometimes party’s or depression , all is different depending on the artist.

Some artist of pop are Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Katie Perry, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Sia, Adele, Brono Mars, Ariana Grande and lots more.
