FUNCTIONS

  • Pollen grains represent the male portion of the reproductive process in plants and trees.

SHAPE OF CELL

  • Round ball or can look like a egg, with spikes on it so it gets stuck to what touches it such as a bee leg, bird feathers or animal fur or pretty much whatever touches it and fall off when something bumps it.

  • Pollen is mainly found flowers.

FOUND IN WHAT ORGAN SYSTEM

  • The pollen cell is found in the stamen part of the flower.

INTERESTING FACTS

  • If we didn't have any pollen in the world we wouldn't have many of the plants we have today.
  • Like males there are sperm in the male pollen cells and when the male pollen cells fall off and hit another plant cell the sperm comes of the pollen cell and fertilizes the egg in the plant cell thats how plants reproduce.
