POLITICAL PARTY

A organized group of people that share the same views politically.

REPUBLICAN PARTY

A major political party in the U.S. ( conservative, more to the right)

DEMOCRATIC PARTY

A major political party in the U.S. ( liberal, left wing)

INDEPENDENT VOTER

Someone that does not belong to a party and votes based on their own ideas and views.

CONSERVATIVE/RIGHT-LEANING

Someone than has more traditional and conservative views. (Republican) They also oppose government interference.

LIBERAL/LEFT-LEANING

Someone who has more open minded views and wants the government to help out more. (Justice and equality)

CENTRIST/MODERATE

someone that has both conservative and liberal views. ( the center of the political spectrum)

TWO-PARTY SYSTEM

A party system where two major parties run the government.

THIRD PARTY

A party with different goals and views as the two dominant parties.

BIPARTISAN

When the two dominant parties agree on something.
