HISTORY

• Police have been around forever
• Ever since civilization there's been need for law and someone to protect it
• Many shootings and riots have made this profession look bad

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma and or a degree in criminal justice
• Local colleges macomb community college, Wayne state , ferris university
• A degree would be the best way to obtain this job and make a decent wage
• Start as a prison guard and make your way up
• You need to be patient, kind and be able to work long hours
• You can make your way up the ranks to detective, or sheriff

DESCRIPTION

• Patrolling the city, guarding places
• It enforces the law keeps crime low
• Long hours
• Dress code is your uniform
• You report to your superior officer goes all the way up to the governor
• 50k and up
• Health benefits are very good since you are risking your life

• Challenges about this job would be risking your life
• Perks would be respect from some and great health benefits
• Job market everywhere is always in need becomes crime and population is going up
• Local places that offer are local police departments
• It benefits society by protecting the people

• It is important because it protects the community from violence
