FIRST PERSON
Narrator is a participant in the story
Always uses the word "I"
Stream of consciousness: The reader is in the narrator's brain
Example: To Kill a Mockingbird

SECOND PERSON
The narrator directly addresses the audience
Uses "you," "your," and/or "yours"
Example: Edgar Allen Poe uses it
Like he did in "Tell Tale Heart"

THIRD PERSON
Narrator is a non-participant in story
There are three types:
All-knowing/omniscient
Limited
Objective
