Neon is valued as a lighting system because it is usable in cold places. That is also the reason why the element is used in aircraft beacons and aircraft. Neon can also be used as a cryogenic refrigerant. Research shows that Neon per unit volume of liquid has 40x more capacity than liquid helium.

FACTS

  • We use neon lights at night, and commonly cities.
  • Neon advertising signs from the 1920s and 1930s have become popular collectibles today
  • low power neon glow lamps are widely used to indicate on/off settings and other functions on small appliances and electronic instrument panels.
