Nucleus
The Nucleus is like the control tower because the Nucleus controls everything in the cell just like the control tower controls everything in the airport.

Cell Wall
The cell wall is like the exterior of the airport because it protects the things inside and keeps unwanted things out.

Cell Membrane
It allows only certain substances to enter the cell. It is like the security check at the airport, which only allows the people who have plane tickets and no suspicious/dangerous items to go through.

Cytoplasm
The cytoplasm of a plant cell is a liquid substance inside the cell membrane. This is where all of the cellular functions necessary to the survival of the cell take place. The inner area of an airport is similar to this, where all of the passengers are getting ready to board their planes.

Vacuole
The vacuole is like the airport food court because here is one, large vacuole in a plant cell, and it is used to store food, water, waste products and other materials. That is similar to an airport’s food court, where all of that is in the food court.

Ribosome
Ribosomes are responsible for making protein in a cell, and in an airport, they are the ticket printers that make the plane tickets.

Rough ER
The Rough ER has ribosomes on it that help the cell make protein. This is like the pathway along the ticket printing areas, where the passengers get their plane tickets and go to their flight.

Smooth ER
The smooth ER is like the pathway along the shops after the rough ER. After getting your ticket from the ticket printing machines along the rough ER pathway, there is the smooth ER, which is the pathway along the shops.

Golgi
The Golgi packages, modifies, and exports products. That is similar to the baggage check, where luggage is checked and then moved to the right airplane.

Chloroplast
For some airports, there might be a garden of vegetables they use to make some of the airport’s food. Food made from those vegetables gives people energy to work, like chloroplasts do for the cell.

Mitochondria
The mitochondria is like electricity powering an airport, like mitochondria powers the cell.
