  • There are more pigs than people in the county of Pipestone.
  • There are more than 200 wind turbines in Pipestone County. It is very windy and we don't have very many mosquitos.

  • Pipestone County is located in the Southwest corner of the state.
  • Pipestone also has a national monument.

Here are some facts about the Pipestone National Monument. The monument is the rock. Native Americans come from everywhere to dig up the rock and make their peace pipes out of it. It is one of the only places that you can find pipestone rock in North America. Pipestone and Pipestone County got its name from the rock.
