PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Trip to the Local Ecosystem

The fungi on this tree is decomposing this tree because the tree isn't alive. Fungi are decomposers that live on dead plants or animals to get their nutrients

This is a pinecone that had fallen from a coniferous tree. This pinecone holds a lot of seeds to more coniferous trees.

There are some birds' nest on the tree. This an example of a habitat because the birds need a habitat to be safe and reproduce eggs.

This is a seed pod with 4 seeds on the pod. The wind or other abiotic factor carries these seeds to help reproduce.

A bird is standing on a path looking to something. Birds and other organisms needs natural resources to survive. Like water, shelter, oxygen.

This is a dandelion. This dandelion has created seeds to reproduce. The wind blows the seeds from the dandelion to make more dandelions.

This is also a seed pod. It has spiky needles to stuck to an animal to be carried and reproduce. It also protects the seeds from being eaten. This is the adaptation that this seed pod has.

In the center of the picture, there is a very small little worm that is decomposing these dead leaves to give nutrients to the soil to help grow new plants.

The cigarette is an abiotic factor that harms the ecosystem. Cigarettes can cause wildfires and destroy many animals' habitats.

This is another abiotic factor that harms the ecosystem. Garbage decays and produces methane that causes global warming.
