NEWTON- a unit of measure that equals the force required to accelerate 1 kilogram of mass at 1 meter per second per second.

NET FORCE- the combination of all forces acting on an object.

BALANCED FORCE- equal forces acting on an object in opposite directions.

ENERGY- capacity to cause change.

POTENTIAL CHANGE- stored energy

KINETIC ENERGY- energy in motion.

UNBALANCED FORCE- an equal acting on an object causing it to move in one direction.
