CONTENTS

  • Light & Shadows
  • Reflection/Scattering
  • Transmission
  • Absorption
  • Color

LIGHT

  • Light bounces off from the object to the eye
  • To see an object you need:
  • A clear and straight parh
  • An eye
  • A light source and light

REFLECTION

  • Light bounces off in a V angle
  • The surface is microscopically smooth
  • The numbers are either very low or very high

SCATTERING

  • The numbers are unpredictable (random)
  • The surface is not microscopically smooth

TRANSMISSION /OPAQUE

  • Transmitting is when light goes through a substance
  • Transparent is when most or all of the light goes through e.g window
  • Transluscent is when some of the light goes through e.g your skin
  • Opaque is an adjective that describes light not transmitting through an object

Absorption is when an object uses light in order to use as energy.

RODS/CONES

  • There is three main cones in your eyes
  • Rods control lightness and darkness
  • The more amount of light, the brighter the color
