Pennsylvania is one of the fifty states and is located in the northeastern part of the United States. The Liberty Bell is one of the many symbols of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is called the Keystone State. It was the center of a new nation during the Revolutionary War. The Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In 1812, Harrisburg became the capital of Pennsylvania. People wanted the capital close to the center of the state.

Pennsylvania has three major river systems: the Delaware River in the east, the Susquehanna River in the center of the state, and the Ohio River in the west. Shown here is the Susquehanna River.

Pennsylvania has many symbols. The ruffed grouse is the state bird. The state tree is the Eastern Hemlock, and the state beverage is milk.

Pennsylvania is the largest producer of mushrooms in the country. Many kinds of grains, vegetables, and fruit trees are grown here.

The Little League World Series is played in Williamsport, PA every August.
