On December 7th,1945 Japan bombed the United States without any warning. Japan started planing the attack as early as January 1941.

INJURIES

  • U.S. military men killed=2335
  • U.S. military men wounded= 1143
  • Civilans killed=68
  • Civilans wounded=35
  • Japanese killed=65 (one was captured)

The bombing lasted from 7:55 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. a total of 110 minutes. In this bombing there was two waves of plains approximately 45 minutes apart from each other.

They knew it was Japan because of the sign on the plane they called it many names such as the red circle, meat ball, or rising sun. They chose to attack us on a Sunday because we were all relaxed and less alert.
