St. Gerald's Church was founded in 1934.
A brief history about St. Gerald's Parish and School is that it is the oldest Church in Oaklawn dating back to 1934. In 1967 the famous Oaklawn tornado destroyed have of the school and damaging the church.
Unique features of St. Gerald's Church is on the main entrance of the church stands a statue of St. Gerald. Next to the church stands a large statue of Mary and baby Jesus.
Mission Statement
We are the family of St. Gerald, people of God, brought together in the Eucharist as the body of Christ. We gather as sisters and brothers with The Lord, welcoming and inviting others to journey with us to become more like Christ. We strive for spiritual fulfillment by building a community of love and service.
