She took it from her sight and hid it in a dusty store room

She must look upon it or she would "die"

It was a massive swarming
Out of the box flew horrid creatures
Small, scaly, lizard like creatures with bat wings and red eyes
They circled her head then flew off hissing

Pandora slammed the lid shut
She caught the last monster, foreboding
The other monsters that had escaped where the ills of the world
Spites, disease, old age, famine, insanity, and foul kin
They scattered the world and wait to bring pain,sorrow and death
