Panama is a Unitary State but also is a Presidential System

Government
Both US and Panama have Presidential System and Constitutional Republic ways of governing their country. But Panama also has Unitary State while the US has Federal Republic.

Usually based on a well-developed service sector that accounts for nearly 80% GDP (Gross Domestic Product)

Economy
Both are primarily based on Market economy (distribution of goods).

Panama has a low of 75 degrees and a rare high of 90 degrees. Panama also has a hand-full of steep, rugged mountains.

Culture
Panama has a blend of culture ranging from African and Native American culture to European.

The US and Panama have a very wide range of cultures. Like Native and African American.

Victoriano Lorenzo (patriot)

He was a patriot from the 1900's that lead guerrillas against the Conservative government in October 1900.

Bayano (rebel slave)

Bayano led to say one of the biggest slave riot in the 16th century.

He was not only President for three terms but was also a Panamanian Journalist.

Both Panama and US have many people in different varieties of art, music, and political people that are important.

Current Challenges

  • Big projects will add to debt
  • Big Projects will raise unemployment

Current Positives

  • Unemployment was at 4.8% in 2012 (currently at 4.2%)
  • Rising star in Latin American Economy
  • Big Plans for the Panama Canal

If I had a choice to either immigrate to Panama or to immigrate from Panama, I would rather immigrate to Panama because I feel as though the US and Panama are run in a very similar way.
