WHY I WANNA BE A PALEONTOLOGIST

  • I would like to discover extinct species of plants and animals.
  • Dinosaurs have influenced a big part of my life.

As well as dinosaurs, we discover animals that lived before and after them.

SALARY

  • The average salary of a paleontologist is 40,000-60,000. All of that for digging bones!!

The main reason I would like to become a paleontologist is because if I find a new species, I get to name it!

HOW DO FOSSILS FORM?

  • Fossils are formed in many different ways, but most are formed when a plant or animal dies in a watery environment.
  • Then the organism is buried in mud and dirt. Skin and organs quickly decay leaving the hard bones or shells behind. Over time, layers of rock builds over the top and hardens into rock. (Scienceveiws.com)
