PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I is for the reference in part two to Icarus and Daedalus. Captain Beatty had told him he had flew too close to the the sun. And referenced the myth.
J is for jets. During the book their are wars going on. The wars have been going on for so long that no one knows what it's over. Montag always hears and sees the jets flying overhead.
K is for kerosene. Kerosene is what the firemen spray all of the houses that they need to burn down that have books in them. They will use the hose to drench the house in kerosene then throw the match on the house and watch it burn.
L is for loneliness. Montag feels that he is all alone once his life changes and he starts to think. He has no other friends and doesn't really have a relationship with his wife.
M is for Mildred. She is the wife of gut montag. Mildred has no emotions and does not pay any attention to her husband. She only pays attention to the parlor and her fake family.
N is for neglect of important decisions. In the sieve and the sand Mildred, montag, and her friends try to talk about politics, and they talked about how they voted, and they voted based on their looks and personality, and not their political views.
O is for overdose. Sometimes Mildred will take one of the sleeping pills and then forget she took it them keep taking them until she passes out. She had to get everything sucked out of her and get new blood put into her. She acted like nothing happened and was happy.
P is for Mrs. Phelps. She is one of Mildred's friends who comes over regularly to talk and watch the parlor. She is just like Mildred in the fact that she is emotionless and does not think for herself. she turns in montag to the fire station for obtains books
Q is for quality. In the dystopian future, books are not about quality. The books that are not burned, like the classics are turned into 5 minute summaries. The over all quality of life itself is worse than what it used to be.
