PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE EAST OHIO GAS COMPANY EXPLOSION

AMIR METTS

There was a gas leak, tank explosion and resulting was a fire from one of the liquefied natural gas storage tanks. The gas leakage was mixed into the sewer system, the mix was ignited and then all the manholes blew up, upward as jet fire was released with it.

Who's at fault.

The gas company is at fault because they used weak material to build it and they knew it wasn't sufficient enough *the people are at fault also because they were demanding too much from the company.

Death toll: East Ohio Gas Company’s 10-acre facility killed 130 people and destroyed at least one square mile of homes, businesses and property on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio

How I would have fixed it:
I would've used a stronger material even if it would have been really expensive during war time. I would have also changed the design because that also contributed to the disaster.
