CONGRESS DECLARES WAR ON BRITAIN DUE TO THE SEIZES

The British defeat Napoleon in Europe, and send reinforcements to Canada. They invade Washington and Boston.

New Orleans is assaulted by 7,000 British soldiers, and is defended successfully. Two weeks later, the war is over by treaty.
