PRESENTATION OUTLINE
A is for Automobile Wreck. If Ponyboys parents wouldn't have died in the automobile wreck the whole story would be completely different.
B is for Brothers. Yes, Ponyboy has his brothers Soda and Darry, but he also has his gang. He thinks of his gang as more of his brothers because Darry rejects him.
C is for Cigarettes. Ponyboy and the gang would smoke cigarettes as a sort of stress reliever. It helped them calm down and think. Cigarettes were also probably used by other gangs for similar reasons.
D is for Dangerous. Living on the East Side of town is very dangerous. Socs jump them all the time. Also some of them grew up very rough, with little help from parents.
E is for East Side. Ponyboy and his gang live on the east side of their town. This is where they grow up, but it's also a dangerous place. Socs and other gangs will often jump the east siders.
F is for Fearful. Johnny was fearful when the Socs jumped him and beat the tar out of him. Johnny and Ponyboy were also fearful after Johnny killed Bob.
G is for Gangs. There are many different gangs in the city, including Ponyboys and the Socs. There are the gangs that get in all out fights, and the ones that just talk smack. There's also gangs that are just like family's.
H is for Hiding. After Johnny killed Bob, he and Ponyboy were moved into hiding. Dally gave them a gun and some money. He told them to hide in an abandoned church.
