Everyone's Focused on the Platform

Is anyone focused on the message?
The problem is not podcasting, public speaking, social media or whatever the new thing is. The problem is that everyone is focused on which is the right platform instead of focusing on connecting their message with the audience that needs to hear it.

Be the Coke
Not
The Coke
Machine

"Saying your a speaker is like saying you're a Coke machine. A Coke Machine is just a delivery system for Coke. Would you rather be the Coke Machine or would you rather be the Coke?" ~Randy Pennington

Focus on Your Message

Not the platform delivering it
Quit worrying about whether you should be on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. Start focusing on making your message like Coke. Stop worrying about the Coke Machine and focus on creating something that people love, something people want and something the people ask for by name.
