Frank Lee Morris thought of a genius plan because he had IQ around 150. He said that the water pipes were in the wall so it had to be hollow , so they started gigging through the wall with bare hands!

Clarence and John Anglin and Frank Morris covered up the work by making a piece of paper that looked like the wall in there cell.

After about digging for 8 months they finally made a hole that was a decent size, they all made dummy heads of their
face out of soap and their blankets.
So during the night when the guards checked the cells if they were still there they would not notice so easy.

That night all 3 of the men placed there dummy heads in there beds and slowly crawled through the wall. All 3 of them met up in the wall.

They crawled for hours through the wall until they found a opening to the beach.

Before their escape Frank Lee Morris also said that they had to make a raft or something. They would not be able to swim it because the water was to cold.

So Frank decided to make a raft out of their clothing, in the walls back in Alcatraz they made a small raft.

They carried the raft with them through the walls then they sailed off. None of their bodies were ever found, no one knows were they are, they may be dead we don't know a mystery lies ahead.
