ANIMAL KINGDOM

  • Animals...are extremely complex organisms with many cells.
  • Evidence of animals dates as far back as 700 million years.
  • There are about 1million known animals species.
  • The vary in shape, size, and color.
  • They might have wings, but some do not.

TYPES OF ANIMALS

  • Parrot
  • Horse
  • Elephant
  • Panda
  • Turtle

MONERA(BACTERIA)

  • Bacteria... Are one celled organisms.
  • 1800 species of monera (bacteria)
  • Monera has been on earth for about 3.5 billion years
  • These one celled organisms do not have a nucleus
  • Monerans are grouped into bacteria and cyanobacteria.

TYPES OF MONERAN(BACTERIA)

  • Cyanobacteria
  • Germs

PROTIST

  • Protists are a more varied group.
  • 3800 species identified.
  • They have a nucleus
  • Most are one celled
  • Most are single celled.

INVERTEBRATE

  • 97% of our organisms are invertebrate
  • Invertebrates don't have a backbone
  • Invertebrates have 4000 different lenses

TYPES OF INVERTEBRATES

  • Jellyfish
  • Octopus
  • Ladybug
  • Butterflies
  • Worms

VERTEBRATE

  • Vertebrates have backbones.
  • Not very many make up the world.
  • Only a very small percentage in the animal kingdom.

TYPES OF VERTEBRATES

  • Fish
  • Human
  • Cow
  • Snake
  • Dog

VASCULAR PLANTS

  • Vascular plants have... Have transport tubes to carry water and nutrients.
  • Have true roots and stem, also leaves
  • Most plants are vascular.

NONVASCULAR PLANTS

  • Nonvascular plants do not have true roots.
  • Nonvascular plants do not have true leaves.
  • Nonvascular plants go through photosynthesis.
