  • Signaled the beginning of the Great Depression
  • Most devastating Stock Market crash in history
  • Businesses cut down production 
  • Nobody could afford products or production of them

Public Works Administration

  • Major program of public works
  • Organized and provided funds for buildings
  • Included schools, hospitals, roads, bridges
  • Worked towards reforestation and flood control
  • Other programs: Ressettlement & National Youth Adminitration 

Keynesian Economics
In the short run, economic output is influenced by the total spending in the economy.
