How are conditional statements related to the Zeroth Law of Dynamics and the Law of Syllogism?

Hypothesis- If a motion machine functions momentarily, it is a Carnot engine.
Converse- If it is a Carnot engine, it functions momentarily.
Inverse- If a motion machine does not function momentarily, then it isn't a Carnot engine.
Contrapositive- If it is not a Carnot engine, then it doesn't function momentarily.

Hypothesis- false
Converse- false
Inverse- true
Contrapositive- false

History Portion:

According to the first law of thermodynamics, perpetual motion machines are impossible.

According to the second law of thermodynamics, the entropy of an isolated system never decreases. Also, this means that perpetual motion machines of the second kind are impossible.

Architectural Features used to cool the buildings

Can be combined with wells/reservoirs of water to preserve food

Can keep things at freezing temp. during the summer

If two systems are in equilibrium with a third, then all 3 are in equilibrium.

-Zeroth law of thermodynamics – If two thermodynamic systems are each in thermal equilibrium with a third, then they are in thermal equilibrium with each other.
-First law of thermodynamics – Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only change forms. In any process, the total energy of the universe remains the same. For a thermodynamic cycle the net heat supplied to the system equals the net work done by the system.

-Second law of thermodynamics – The entropy of an isolated system not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium.
-Third law of thermodynamics – As temperature approaches absolute zero, the entropy of a system approaches a constant minimum.

In the Robert Boyle's flask, thermodianamics works in the first law because the flask runs on the energy in the chemical compound of a heavy liquid. In terms of the second law, because the liquid does not increase in pressure over time the law of entropy is disbanded also because it is not an isolated system.
