LESSON REVIEW

Speciation

  • this means the evolution of a new species from from an existing species.

THE STEPS TO SPECIATION

  • 1) separation-
  • this means species are separated by
  • some form of boudary

steps to speciation

  • adaptation-
  • population change as individuals better adapted to
  • the new conditions to survive and reproduce.

steps to speciation

  • the last step is division-
  • the genes of the two populations are so
  • different that they can no longer inteer breed

AN EXAMPLE OF SPECIATION

The squirrels use to be a big group that lived on the both sides of the canyon but back then the canyon was still together. later when the canyon broke up into two the squirrels were separated and were forced to adapted to there different regions now. it shows speciation by forming the new species using an existing species.

SUMMARY
I learned many things in this section like species, and speciation. The steps that led to specaition goes like this, first separation, second adaptation, and last of all division.
