CLASSROOM JOBS

Mrs. Miller's 5th Grade Class

Tub Tuggers (2)

  • Bring lunch tubs down to the lunch room at recess time.
  • Bring lunch tubs back up stairs after lunch.

Floor Detail (3)

  • Vaccum/sweep floors at the end of the day.
  • Pick up extra trash/recycling on floors.
  • Empty recycling bin if needed.
  • Put all no name items that are on the floor in the lost and found box.

Lost and Found Captain

  • returns lost items to owners
  • returns pencils/colored pencils/glue, etc. to the right storage places
  • not sure? Ask Mrs. Miller

Zoologists (2)

  • Feed classroom pet(s).
  • Make sure there is enough water in tanks (check with Mrs. Miller first before adding more).
  • Turn heat lamp on for turtle in morning, turn off heat lamp at the end of the day.

Environmental Hygenists (2)

  • Wipe down tables and desks as needed.
  • Wipe counters.
  • Clean whiteboards.

Paper People (2)

  • Pass out papers into mailboxes at the end of the day.
  • Deliver messages to teachers when needed.
  • Pass out and collect papers when needed.

Morning Organizer (1)

  • Write the date and set the agenda for the next day.
  • Write the date on the bathroom register for the next day.
  • Lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance each morning.
  • Take lunch count.

Botanist (1)

  • Water all plants (DO NOT WATER THE DRIED EUCALYTUS).
  • Prune plants when needed.

Tech Helper (1)

  • Help others with tech needs when needed.
  • Make sure all Chromebooks are plugged in to charge at the end of the day.
  • Keep headphones organized.
  • Power off doc cam and main box at the end of each day.
  • Kindly remind others to return their Chromebooks to the charging station.

Hall Monitor (1)

  • Bring in extra items from the hall at the end of the day.
  • Make sure all lockers are closed and hallway looks organized (give kind reminders to friends who need to take care of their lockers).
  • Pick up any extra trash/papers and throw them away.

Pencil Sharpener (1)

  • Sharpen all regular and colored pencils
  • Empty out sharpener as needed.

Chair People (2)

  • Organize chairs, stools, pillows, bean bags, etc. at the end of the day (make sure they are pushed in, on desks, or in the right spots).
  • Take down chairs of students who are absent.

Long term Librarians (2-4)

  • Turn lamps on in the morning, turn off at the end of the day.Organize books on shelves.
  • Pick up any books that are misplaced and return them to the right spot.
  • Add genre stickers/stamps to new books.
  • Help other students sign out a book if needed.

Renaissance Floater (1)

  • Jump in for any job that has an absent worker.
  • If everyone is present, ask a friend if you can help.
