MEANING

• The crusades were a series of holy wars between christians and muslems
• for holy land. This started in 1095 when pope claremont preached the first crusade

• The Christians and Muslims were fighting over holy land in Jerusalem because thats where jesus teached
• There were a total of nine crusades the first four are the most inportant and the first lasted from 1095 to 1099
• The effects of the crusades are wealth for the christian catholic church, political matters, and feudalism
