NATURE OF WHAT IS AND WHAT ISNT

  • No one knows anyone or anythings's true potential.
  • Evidence that Parmenides was the first metaphysical thinker
  • Parmenides finds himself in a paradox of non existent objects

Parmenides as a Monist

  • Believd  in a concept of one thing existing , usually referring to a mind
  • From the one mind comes many thoughts , and ideas
  • Often thought of the world as one simplistic reality
  • Inside the one reality consist pluralities

Questions that I derive from Parmenides

  • Which concept of the world is more prolific (The on vs the many)
  • Do things really undergo change, or are we living in a status quo?
  • Will things always exist as they are now
