Jean Piaget was a Swiss
Psychologist .
Born on August the 9th,1896
And died September 16th,1980
Jean Piaget is best known for his epistemological studies with children and his theory of Cognitive development.
While his early career consisted of work in the natural sciences, it was during the 1920s that he began to move toward work as a psychologist.
He spent a year working at a boys' institution created by Alfred Binet.
Piaget helped demonstrate that childhood is a unique and important period of human development.
Piaget's theories continue to be studied in the areas of psychology, sociology, education, and genetics.
His work influenced other notable psychologists including Howard Gardner and Robert Sternberg.
