PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CHEMISTRY RATIOS

BY CORA TWAROSKI

In 1803, John Dalton made one of the most important discoveries in Chemistry. According to Dalton's theory, atoms of one substance always combine in the same proportion with atoms of other substances in forming a compound. For example, water, or H2O, always has hydrogen atoms and oxygen atoms in the ratio 2:1.

Look up chemical formulas for at least 5 other compounds, such as table salt or, sugar, and ratios to describe their makeup.
